Controller and contact
Andrés Palladino is the controller of personal data associated with this personal professional author website, professionally based in Tromsø, Norway. For privacy enquiries and rights requests: contacto@andrespalladino.com.
Enquiries: data, purposes and legal grounds
Email correspondence provides the contact details, organisation or capacity you specify, the message and its attachments. These are used to answer literary, professional, rights and press enquiries and to continue the conversation.
Pre-contractual steps you personally request rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Professional and press correspondence, including contacts representing organisations, relies on the legitimate interest in dealing with expected communications about the author’s work (Article 6(1)(f)). Records needed to meet legal obligations are processed on that basis (Article 6(1)(c)). You may request information about the balancing of interests or object. There is no need to send sensitive data or information unrelated to your enquiry.
Retention and manual review
An enquiry is closed when it has been dealt with and there is no outstanding reply, agreed follow-up or active professional relationship justifying retention. Closed enquiries are manually reviewed every six months. Those no longer requiring a reply or follow-up are deleted from both the Hostinger mailbox and the copy forwarded to Gmail.
Material needed for active publishing relationships, contracts, legal obligations or claims is retained separately. In those cases, retention depends on the continuing relationship, the applicable obligation or the resolution and relevant time limits of the claim. There is no general automatic deletion of correspondence.
Hostinger and Gmail document automatic deletion after thirty days for messages left in their spam and trash folders. These provider rules are separate from the six-monthly enquiry review. Protected backups are taken into account when dealing with data requests; they are not used as the ordinary enquiry mailbox.
Hosting, email and technical access
Hostinger provides hosting, file delivery and professional email. A copy of messages is forwarded to the controller’s personal Gmail account; its address is not published. Access to correspondence, site administration and providers’ technical processing are distinct functions: no claim is made that the controller is the only person with access to every system.
To deliver and protect the service, the infrastructure processes technical connection and request data, such as IP address, date, requested path and technical browser information. The provider’s technical retention follows its terms and privacy policy; the six-month enquiry review is not attributed to these logs, nor is immediate deletion promised.
Hostinger and Google services may involve processing outside the EEA. Their transfer documents describe applicable safeguards, including standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions where relevant. They can be consulted and clarification requested through the links below. It is not claimed that all data remains exclusively in Norway.

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or objection, and portability where applicable, by writing to contacto@andrespalladino.com. Each right is handled subject to its legal conditions. You may complain to Datatilsynet or the competent supervisory authority without first obtaining the controller’s permission.
