About
Andrés Palladino
Writer and essayist
Novels, short stories and essays exploring memory, identity and the workings of power.
Andrés Palladino is an Argentine writer and essayist whose work moves between thrillers, short fiction and essays, returning to questions of memory, identity and power.
He lives in Tromsø, Norway.
In 2026, his novel El instante inútil won the VII Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Mystery and Suspense Novel Prize. A disappearance and a recording lead its protagonist into an investigation that calls both evidence and the act of looking into question.
His fiction includes El gran juego and its prequel El silencio del juego, novels about the interests behind the spectacle of football; El límite del silencio, a triptych of philosophical stories; and Los que vuelven tarde, published by Editorial Caburé in 2026. Two stories in the latter collection received recognition in literary competitions in Spain: Tierra arrasada received second prize and A salvo was a finalist.
His essays explore how people and societies retain the ability to reconsider their decisions and convictions. Las sociedades que aprenden, La ventana humana and La forma que resiste approach knowledge, control and the possibility of revision from complementary perspectives.
